- By road take the N7 from Dublin or Limerick, the N8 from Cork, allow an hour to Portlaoise, plan your route from anywhere in Ireland using the AA routeplanning service and check traffic conditions on AA Roadwatch
- By rail to Portlaoise check train timetables here
- For those of you coming from further a field why not try Stena Line
