Road Walk

From the Green, cross the main road and follow a minor road that leaves the village beside the Tower Inn. Pass Fossy graveyard and continue along the narrow tarmac road as it twists and turns on it’s way to the Blue Bridge and Clopook.
Goose Green. The houses in the village are grouped around a large fair green called the Goose Green, on which fairs of considerable importance were held in the past. Local produce such as vegetables and livestock would have been traded as well as household goods and a whole range of travelling
sideshows. These days, the family car giving access to local towns has made many such fairs redundant although they have adapted and still survive in places.
